Semi-evergreen woody vegetation.

Plants that lose most, but not all, of their foliage for a fraction of the year.

Examples

  • Tecoma stans (Bignoniaceae)
  • Plumeria rubra (Apocynaceae)
  • Bougainvillea spectabilis (Nyctaginaceae)
  • Tabebuia aurea (Bignoniaceae)

osm's particular vision

Note that the distinction made in OpenStreetMap does not seem to exist elsewhere, for example wikipedia considers (perhaps wrongly) that semi-evergreen is a synonym of leaf_cycle=semi_deciduous this could mean that objects in this category have been mapped in the other category or that the documentation needs to be improved
